Hollywood Checkbooks Closed for '08?

With the 2008 presidential election still in its pre-primary stage, Hollywood's elite players are still unsure where to throw their money. Now blogalicious Arianna Huffington can show you where the money is ... and isn't!
Sheen, Affleck, Baldwin, Cruise
A new tool on HuffingtonPost.com lets users search through campaign contributions by name or location. A quick look through the database shows several usually political celebs are sitting out the race ... so far. The Baldwin brothers, the Sheen/Estevez clan (Martin, Charlie and Emilio), Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck all show no donations, says the HuffPost.

Scientologists have also been quiet thus far, with no records on anything from Katie Holmes' husband, Kelly Preston, John Travolta or Jenna Elfman. Perhaps they want to know where Sen. Clinton stands on Xenu.

Search your favorite celeb -- or your neighbor -- at HuffingtonPost.com.

3. #1 you are absolutly right Hollywood is not just a one way street, Democratic and
Republican canidates come to Beverly Hills to raise a lot of do'h for thier campains.

Many canidates have visited, I guess not a lot of star action at this time, but that does not mean that canidates have have not taken a lot of green "no not talking about vegies or the party or the environment", this only shows that SoCal is the ATM cash machine for
politicians real or imagened.

5. Who cares who these lefties put their money toward!?!!? If the person has DEMOCRAT in front of their name they support it.
They shut devote more of their time to charities that are in THIS COUNTRY. They sure get paid a lot of money for repeating someone elses lines. Guess that makes them experts! NOT!!!!!!!

8.
Why would anybody pay for someone to shlt in one's brain?

DEMs and GOPs they all the same, lots of noise about democracy and a lot of acts and bills to seal someone else's fortune.

What DEMs done for the last year?
What GOPs done for the last 7 years?

Short War #1
Long War #2
( Lots of DEMs includig Hilla voted for both)

Oil companies are out of poverty

Military contractors have more than 2 coins to rub

Our oppinions (on the phone and internet) are being listened to by FEDs

Anyone can be declared an enemy combatant and sent to the bad part of Cuba

Our houses can be taken away if someone needs our land for redevelopment

Check this out, if we can't increase democracy in the world, we can decrease democracy in our own country to ballance things out.

10. Think this through.

1. Does the ommission of a name on an "official" Huffy list either confirm or deny a high-profile donation?
2. Considering fonation laws and media scrutiny, if One could afford a significant donation, would One wish their name to be on the registry?
3. Regardless, should it matter in any way how others lean or contribute?

A healthy admiration of people who may appear to be 'in the loop,' is worth consideration, but it is a far better thing to use One's Own mind in deciciding such matters.

11. I hope all these hollywood democrat blowhards flush all their frickin' money down the toilet in supporting the democratic nominee...much like they did in 2004 in supporting Kerry! haha!!

13. If they have an extra $100,000 they could pay Paris Hilton to show up for 10 mins. and say "Raise your hand if you think he's/she's" HOT.

Then use her and her dogs as Props!

Get her on the Bandwagon, traveling the country, servicing the volunteers.

Just don't ask her to join in on the "Rock the Vote" - P. Diddy dropped the idiot on this campaign last election when it was made public, she hadn't even registered to vote.

She and Sean Penn have alot in common, no talent, big mouth, idiots (he married Madonna didn't he)?

Hollyweird and their opinions - What happens in Hollyweird, should stay in Hollyweird.

Scary thought - they might back Tom Cruise for the new President! Here come the aliens.

14. When it comes to politics, these stars are stuck on themselves thinking their views are right & the rest of us are morons. I just turn them off as I don't care what they think as I can think for myself. Let them give all their money to the lefties for all I care.

15. BOEING 787- 2- ENGINES - Um, first of all the that you won't
admit the MAJORITY of Hollywood was pushing hard for John Kerry last general election shows your extreme ignorance on this subject...I was
sincerely hoping Hollywood gets behind their favorite democratic
candidate (hillary and/or barack)....and I sincerely hope we have the
same outcome as in 2004. Thank-you for stalking my posts though and
continually commenting on them and lambasting me without reading
and/or comprehending what I'm saying. Now go to your favorite
hollywood hotspot and I'm sure you'll see one of your
celebrity-loving democratic candidates there!
